Boone, a 9-month-old hound mix, gets around with a wheelchair as his back legs were amputated when he was younger.

A local pup made his national debut on the “Rachael Ray Show” with his owner, Tracy Diable of Butler Township, Thursday morning.

Five months ago, Eagle readers were introduced to the young hound mix named Boone, who gets around using prosthetic wheels after his back legs were cut off, and his family, Tracy and Charles Diable.

Boone is one of the dogs that received prosthetics from Joey's P.A.W., a nonprofit run by his owners which provides partial or full funds to dogs in need of a prosthetic or a wheelchair so they can have a chance at a more mobile life.

During the lifestyle show on WGN-America, Ray offered the nonprofit a lifetime supply of dog food and said that she and another company will donate $5,000 to the nonprofit.
