State trooper involved in accident on Duffy Road
BUTLER TWP — A tractor trailer struck a state trooper's vehicle in the intersection of New Castle and Duffy roads at about 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The officer was heading to another accident at the time, according to state police Cpl. Michael Lewis.
Both the truck driver and the trooper appeared uninjured, though the trooper will be evaluated at Butler Memorial Hospital, Lewis said.
Police are waiting to release the trooper's name, and will be determining who was at fault after viewing the trooper's dash camera footage.
The accident is causing minor traffic congestion.
