Robert W. Schlifer

Robert W. Schlifer, 83, of Beaver passed away on Thursday in Ohio Valley General Hospital.

He was born July 10, 1935, in Nemacolin, Pa., and was the son of the late John and Marie Carey Schlifer.

Rob graduated from Waynesburg College with a degree in accounting.

He was a retired controller for General Alloy Castings and volunteered at the Highmark Caring Place for five years.

Bob was a member of Centerpoint Community Church in Center Township.

Robert left us all with such a great example of love and what it is to be a great husband, father, grandfather and friend. We love and miss him dearly.

Surviving are his three children, Christina (Mike) Schlifer-Jones of Horn Lake, Miss., R. Alan (Lori) Schlifer of Renfrew, and David K. (Roxanne) Schlifer of Monaca; his grandchildren, Charmine E. Wright, Carl R. (Elizabeth) Wright, Tess (Victor) Capo, Steven (Samantha) Voeller, Josh (Jennifer) Schlifer, Chelsea (Adam) McClure, Casey Schlifer and Courtney Schlifer; his great-grandchildren, Reily Sullivan, Jaina Wright, Remington McClure and Robert Wright; and a brother, John (Jean) Schlifer of Parma, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Sharon Schlifer.

SCHLIFER — Friends of Robert W.
