Mary J. Wagner

Mary J. Wagner, 88, of Herman passed away Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.

Born Sept. 10, 1929, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert N. and Mary O'Brien Widenhofer.

She was a homemaker.

Mary was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church.

She belonged to the Herman Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by seven children, Karen Bohin and her husband, Andrew, of Butler, Robert Wagner and his wife, Marsha, of Butler, Mary Ann Mohan and her husband, Vince Kriley, of Butler, Cathy Slagle and her husband, Bob, of Worthington, William Wagner of Butler, Joseph Wagner and his wife, Naomi, of Chicora, and Edward Wagner and his wife, Carol, of Butler; her twin sister, Margie Freehling of Saxonburg; one brother, Glenn T. Widenhofer of Butler; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Eugene Wagner, who passed away on Nov. 27, 2000; one son, Kenneth E Wagner, who passed away on April 11, 1989; ten brothers; and one sister.

WAGNER — Friends of Mary J. Wagner, who died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 821 Herman Road, Butler.Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery.For more information, please visit www.martinfh.net.
