Theresa Marie Zinkham
Theresa Marie Zinkham, 81, of Lancaster Township passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends Sunday while under the care of Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople.
Born Oct. 1, 1936, in Zelienople, she was the daughter of the late James Capots and Mary Jane Crangi Capots.
Theresa was an active member of St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church in Zelienople.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and making flower arrangements.
She loved talking about the Pittsburgh Pirates with her longtime friend, Darla Herr, and enjoyed conversations with her friends, Angie Eppinger and Lil Thomas. She also loved spending time with her new best friend, Cooper.
Above all, her strong faith and family meant the most to her. Theresa dedicated her life to her family. Theresa's true passion was to bring joy to others. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Theresa was determined not to let cancer define her or slow her down. She fought with the utmost dignity and strength.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Thomas S. Zinkham, whom she married on April 4, 1959; her sons, Tommy Zinkham of Harmony, Timothy Zinkham and his wife, Chrystal, of Harmony; a sister-in-law, Kathy Hager and her husband, Ed, of Greensburg; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
The family would like to thank the UPMC McCandless Cancer Center nurses, Dr. Kiran Rajasenan and the Tionesta staff at Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople, for their care, kindness and support.
ZINKHAM — The family of Theresa Marie Zinkham, who died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with the Rev.
