Police: Felon caught flushing drugs down toilet
A felon was caught “wet handed” trying to flush bags of heroin down the toilet during a drug raid Thursday morning at a Butler home, authorities said.
Kyle S. Simmons, 22, of Tarentum, Allegheny County was arrested and jailed for felony drug possession.
Simmons, however, was not the target of the investigation, state police said, during which vice officers obtained a sealed search warrant they executed about 7 a.m. at the home on the 400 block of South Washington Street.
Police made their way into the house and found Simmons in the upstairs bathroom attempting to flush stamp bags of heroin.
His “arms were wet from his hands up to his elbows,” according to court documents, “and (he) was sitting on the toilet.”
He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $20,000 bail following arraignment. His preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 24.
Court records showed Simmons has prior convictions in Westmoreland County.
