Aseneth J. “Seene” Doctor

Aseneth J. “Seene” Doctor, 50, of Butler passed away Friday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler following a short, courageous battle with cancer.

Born Dec. 26, 1967, in Mercer, she was the daughter of Forrest C. McCamey and Roberta J. Hoffman (Larry) Geer.

She was married for 13 years to George S. Doctor, who survives. They had been together for 21 years.

Seene graduated from Moniteau High School in West Sunbury. She worked all of her life, including for Ibis Tek, Mine Safety and, most recently, in the cafeteria for the Butler School District. She enjoyed couponing and going to flea markets. Her most cherished time was spent with her husband and her sons.

In addition to her husband and parents, survivors include three sons: Legend (Billie Brehm) Barlow of Eau Claire; Ruger Doctor of Butler; and Hoyt Doctor of Butler; and siblings Laura L. (Joseph J.) Hoffman-Arblaster, John P. (Cherie) Hoffman, Darius (Victoria) Geer, Patrick McCamey and Phillip McCamey.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Russell H. and Marsha Hoffman, who raised her; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Wilda McCamey; and one aunt, Sheila.

DOCTOR — At the request of Aseneth J. “Seene” Doctor, who died Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, there will be no public visitation or services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home in Wampum.Memorial contributions may be made to “Seene's Fight” in care of Huntington Bank at 500 Stirling Village in Butler.Online condolences may be sent to www.marshallsfh.com.
