Route 68 traffic affected by overturned tanker truck
Update at11:46 a.m.: The tanker has been cleared and the 422 exit is now open to traffic.SUMMIT TWP — State police are investigating the rollover wreck of a water tanker truck at about 10 a.m. today on Route 68 at the Route 422 east on-ramp in Summit Township.The truck driver, a man in his 20s, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with apparent minor injuries.Police said the truck was traveling south on Route 68 and turning to head east on Route 422 when the driver lost control, hitting a guardrail and rolling over. He possibly was driving too fast for conditions, police said.The truck was hauling a full load of water. No other information was immediately available.The crash has closed the Route 422 east ramp at Route 68.The Lick Hill Volunteer Fire Department is assisting police.
