Bernard “Bern” Cinski

Bernard “Bern” Cinski, 84, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, passed away on Sunday.

Born July 3, 1934, in Millvale, he was a son of Bernard L. and Catherine Voit Cinski. He married his high school sweetheart, Jacqueline Joy Oesterling, on Aug. 20, 1955, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Millvale and they were married for 63 years.

Bern served in the U.S. Army in Germany, as a photo mapping specialist, and was a lithographer with Pittsburgh Atlas.

He was a charter member of Knights of Columbus of Millvale, and an active member of Multiple Sclerosis Club of North Hills and Butler MS Club.

Bern enjoyed working on his computer, receiving emails from friends and playing games on his iPad.

He was the proud father of Dr. Greg (Christine) Cinski of E. Setauket, N.Y., and Dale (Randy) Cinski of Valencia; brother of Vincent (Eileen) Cinski of Millvale, Brian (Victoria) Cinski of Shaler, and the late Nancy Chmelovski; uncle of Dr. Kenneth Coburn, Timothy Foden and Brian (Charlene) Cinski Jr. He is also survived by three beloved grandchildren, Daniel, Georgia and Ryen.

CINSKI — Family and friends of Bernard “Bern” Cinski, who died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Schellhaas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Holy Sepulcher Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert J. Cedolia as celebrant.Interment will follow in Holy Savior Cemetery Mausoleum.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Sepulcher School Tuition Assistance Fund, 6515 Old Route 8, Butler, PA 16002.Please offer condolences at www.schellhaasfh.com.
