Cheryl J. Tucker

Cheryl J. Tucker, 68, of Butler passed away Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born on April 25, 1950, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Walter Smith and the late Martha L. Stewart Smith.

Cheryl was a 1968 graduate of Butler High School. She went on to receive her associate degree from Butler County Community College.

Cheryl worked as a nurse's aide at Butler Memorial Hospital and St. John Nursing Home.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Cheryl enjoyed hand crafts, painting and video games.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Tucker, whom she married on Dec. 29, 1978; a daughter, Carrie Cavanaugh of Butler; two sisters, Sheila Matson and her husband, Joseph, of Butler and Kelly Smith of Slippery Rock; and a number of nieces and nephews.

TUCKER — Friends of Cheryl J. Tucker, who died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Associate Pastor Hannah Loughman of First United Methodist Church officiating.Burial will take place in Greenlawn Burial Estates.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to First United Methodist Church, 200 E.
