Donald P. Geibel, 83, of Winfield Township passed away peacefully Tuesday at Saxony Health Center in Saxonburg.

Don was born on Nov. 25, 1934, in Herman, Pa., a son of the late Dorothy (Miller) and Henry Geibel.

Don was a carpenter with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters for many years.

He enjoyed traveling, woodworking, cutting grass and yard work.

Donald is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sarah E. (Stewart) Geibel; two daughters, Donna (Paul) Jahn of Butler, and Rose (Donald) Zirnsak of Connoquenessing; and her son, Donald J. Geibel of Butler.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jennifer Newton, Becky Jahn, Joel Tebay Sr., Sean and Darlene Montgomery and James W. Montgomery Jr.; and his great-grandchildren, Fiona Newton, Jacob Davis, Joel Tebay Jr., Alexander and Stephine Montgomery, Zachary and Seanna Montgomery, Wesley Montgomery and Brenda Montgomery.

He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Brenda Montgomery; five brothers, James, Regis, Henry, A.M. “Curly” and Francis “Pete” Geibel; and his four sisters, Dorothy Thoma, Marjorie Weber, Leona Davis and Joann Alwine Geibel.
