Stanley J. Wasielewski

Stanley J. “Stan” Wasielewski, 83, of Richland Township, passed away Friday afternoon in the comfort of his home with his family by his side.

Born Aug. 9, 1934, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Stanley and Clara Sczulkowski Wasielewski.

Stan was an insurance adjuster for Erie Insurance and had also owned and operated S. & J. Auto Body in Gibsonia for many years.

A member of St. Kilian Church, he had been a Eucharistic minister and also belonged to the St. Vincent DePaul Society of the Church.

He was a life member of the Richland Township Volunteer Fire Department and was an accomplished woodworker and craftsman.

Surviving are his wife, Jean Guentner Wasielewski, whom he married Feb. 27, 1954; two daughters, Karen (Bob) Davison of Valencia and Kathi May in South Carolina; his grandchildren, Kiera, Rob, Dan and Ashley; and his great-grandchildren, Adalyn, Brinley, Bailey, Brooklyn, Brielle, Daniel and Kyle.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Francis “Frank” Wasielewski, Antoinette Swierczynski and Clara Hucko.

WASIELEWSKI — Friends of Stanley J. “Stan” Wasielewski, who died Friday, July 27, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.A Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township, with Fr. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating.Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Holy Savior Cemetery in Richland Township.Memorials may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Kilian's Church or to the Building Fund of St. Kilian's Church.Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
