This was the scene of the truck-motorcycle accident that claimed the life of Dale T. Major in 2016.

Michael T. Burns was found guilty on all charges for killing a motorcyclist after running a red light at an intersection on July 26, 2016.

The jury's unanimous decision concludes a three-day trial during which Burns' degree of responsibility in the death of Dale T. Major was debated between Assistant District Attorney Ben Simon, representing the state, and Al Lindsay, who led Burns' defense team.

Diane Burns, Burns' mother, comforted her weeping granddaughter as the jury read their decision to find Burns guilty of all three charges brought against him.

They are: felony homicide by vehicle, misdemeanor involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment.
