Woman wanted on warrant impersonates sister to duck deputies
CENTER TWP — This “sister act” was no laughing matter.
Butler County sheriff's deputies say Courtney A. Wilson, 27, of Mercer Township used her sister's name earlier this month to dodge deputies seeking her arrest on a bench warrant.
It wasn't until the deputies went to the wrong sibling's home that they realized they had been given the slip.
Wilson faces a preliminary hearing set for Sept. 25 on a misdemeanor charge of false identification to law enforcement authorities.
She remains on the lam on the warrant.
She is still being sought on the a bench warrant that was issued June 29, court records showed, after she failed to appear at a hearing in connection with a 2016 drug case.
