Regis J. Rodgers

Regis J. Rodgers, 76, of Chicora passed away Tuesday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Regis was born July 18, 1941, in Clearfield Township, to the late Joseph P. Rodgers and the late Marie J. Geibel Rodgers.

Regis was a life member of the NRA and was a member of the Pennsylvania Sheriff Association. He was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

Regis worked at Pullman Standard, Trinity Industries and he drove truck for Oesterling Trucking for many years. He also owned and operated his own auto repair garage.

Regis enjoyed hunting, working on vehicles, gardening, horses and spending time with his family.

Regis is survived by his wife, Margaret M. Lamoreaux Rodgers, whom he married Nov. 21, 1959; three daughters, Brenda (Elliott) Whalen of Eau Claire, Susan (Thomas) Pringle Sr. of Petrolia and Karen (Marcel) Caron of Greenville; two sons, Regis (Barbara) Rodgers Jr. of West Sunbury and William (Julie) Rodgers of Chicora; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister; and five brothers.

Regis was preceded in death by two brothers.

RODGERS — Private visitation for Regis J. Rodgers, who died Tuesday July 17, 2018, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.A blessing service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Father Jim Bedillion officiating.
