Melvin S. Hoak Jr.

Melvin S. Hoak Jr., 65, of Butler died Tuesday.

He was born Feb. 5, 1953, in Natrona Heights, to the late Melvin S. Hoak Sr. and Virginia Regan Hoak.

Melvin worked as a lab technician at AK Steel and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

He loved to hunt and go to Iowa with his buddies, Ron and Ralph.

Melvin loved his family, his little red Corvette and especially his granddaughter, Haley.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Sue Parker Hoak of Butler; his son, Damon (Heather) Hoak of Butler; his special granddaughter, Haley Hoak; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

HOAK — Friends of Melvin S. Hoak Jr., who died Tuesday, July 17, 2018, are welcome from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated immediately following visitation at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Harry R. Bielewicz officiating. Inurnment will follow Mass at St. Michael Cemetery in Butler.Arrangements are by Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, 6028 Smithfield St., Boston, Elizabeth Township, with Drew J.
