Robert Wallace Hamilton

Robert Wallace Hamilton, 86, passed away Friday at the St. Barnabas Retirement Village.

He was born April 27, 1932, in Forward Township to the late Edward Dale Hamilton and the late Florence Bell Brown.

Robert was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Germany.

He was an art teacher in the Murraysville/Franklin Township area elementary schools. Robert was then asked to join the faculty at then Indiana State College now Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He was a member of a group of retired faculty from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Robert is survived by his sister, Donna Ferguson and her husband, the Rev. Mark Dwight Ferguson of Sarasota, Fla.; nieces, Florence Huselton Jaksec, Linda Huselton Russell, Ann Huselton Hays, Janice Huselton Plaisted and Deborah Huselton; nephews, David Dean Huselton and Mark David Ferguson; and brother-in-law, W.V. “Dean” Huselton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Margaret Huselton.

HAMILTON — Friends of Robert Wallace Hamilton, who died Friday, July 13, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday atThompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Ryan Mowen of Graystone Presbyterian Church in Indiana, Pa., officiating.
