Josephine C. Kastelan, 93, of Butler passed away on Thursdayat the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Born Jan. 23, 1925, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Elva McCool Beers.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her son, Stanley L. Kastelan of Butler; a daughter, Judith A. Kastelan of Wooster, Ohio; two granddaughters, Aislinn O. Kastelan of Denver, Colo., and Heather E. (Benjamin) Olson of Wooster, Ohio; two great-grandchildren, Brody and Sophia Olson; a brother, Eugene Allen of Fallon, Nev.; and two sisters, Thelma McAnallen of Butler, and Gayle Gatta of Fort Myers, Fla. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Kastelan, whom she married Aug. 16, 1940, and who passed away Dec. 5, 2007; a sister; and four brothers.
