Helen Marie Knox Albert

Helen Marie Knox Albert, 83, of Bruin Borough, Parker, joined her loving husband, Kenneth, whom she had waited long to see on Thursday evening at the VNA Inpatient Hospice of Butler.

Helen was born June 6, 1935, in Parkers Landing, and was the daughter of the late George and Anna Elizabeth Rodgers Burke Knox.

Helen was among the first class of students of the former Bruin High School to graduate from Karns City High School.

After school, she became the office manager for many years at Langer Enterprises Inc., from where she retired.

On Aug. 31, 1957, Helen married her loving husband, Kenneth Albert, who preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 1995.

Helen had many hobbies and interests. She enjoyed traveling and photography, loved to crochet and make crafts. She especially liked listening to country western music and loved to square dance.

Helen was a part of many clubs and organizations. She was a dedicated member and past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Parker City Chapter 60, and served two terms as district deputy for District 3 from 2001 until 2002.

Helen was also a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem of Grove City, Chapter 53, as well as serving six terms with City Watchman of Shepherds.

She enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society and a member of the Young at Heart of Bradys Bend.

Helen was also a dedicated member of the Bruin Volunteer Fire Department and BVFD Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by many loved ones and friends and her loving sisters of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Helen was preceded in death by her grandparents, Montgomery and Mary Knox.

ALBERT — Visitation for Helen Marie Knox Albert, who died Thursday, July 12, 2018, will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 Wayne St., Parker.A service of the Order of the Eastern Star will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.Interment will be at Greenlawn Burial Estates in Butler.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Order of the Eastern Star, Parker City, Chapter 60, PO Box 327, Bruin, PA 16022.To view or to send condolences, visit www.buzardfuneralhomes.com.
