Rose M. Field Michael

Rose M. Field Michael, 81, of Butler passed away Monday at her residence.

She was born April 5, 1937, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Michael Field and the late Ann Minto Field.

Rose was a 1955 graduate of Butler High School.

She attended Chinese cooking school and received her certificate as a Chinese chef. She also attended several real estate courses.

Rose was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and formerly served as a Sunday school and vacation Bible school teacher. She was also a former member of the Meridian Women's Club, where she served as treasurer and chaired numerous committees.

Rose volunteered for Easter Seals, the Salvation Army, Rotary Club, Sunnyview Home and Meals on Wheels.

She enjoyed reading the Bible, history books and bios.

She is survived by two aunts, Mildred Maker and Helen Dituillio; a number of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and many cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Michael, whom she married on July 27, 1957, and who passed away on July 2, 2005; her sister, Shirley Field; and her brother, Charles Field.

MICHAEL — Friends of Rose M. Field Michael, who died Monday, July 9, 2018, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Butler, with the Rev. Joel A.
