Charles A. Duespohl Jr.

Charles A. Duespohl Jr., 95, of Karns City passed away on Sunday at Chicora Medical Center.

Born on Jan. 19, 1923, in West Monterey, Pa., he was the son of the late Arnold and Clara Cochran Duespohl.

Charles went to school in Karns City and delivered milk from 1941 until July of 1942 at Dream Valley Farms in Parker.

After high school, Charles served for three years in the U.S. Army Air Force and was discharged on Dec. 25, 1945, with the rank of corporal.

He then went on to work and retire after 45 years from Sonneborn Refinery in Petrolia.

Charles was a devoted member of the Living Waters Community Church of Butler.

He married Esther May Taylor Duespohl in September of 1946. She preceded him in death on Dec. 17, 2014.

Charles is survived by his six children, Peg Tatsak of Zelienople, Charlotte Stephens of the Philadelphia area, Rhonda Svendsen of Falls Church, Va., Thomas Duespohl of Butler, Diane Kunz of Butler, and Dale Duespohl of Hurricane, W.Va.; He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and one great-grandson.

DUESPOHL — Visitation for Charles A. Duespohl Jr., who died Sunday, July 8, 2018, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S.
