John R. “Uncle John” Iman

John R. “Uncle John” Iman, 86, of Chicora died Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Nov. 25, 1931, in Donegal Township, he was the son of the late Charles Bruce Iman Sr. and the late Florence Catherine Earley Iman.

He drove a school bus for Shriver Bus Lines for 14 years. He then worked for Miller Truck and Auto, from 1978 until he retired in 1984.

He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews including Diana Berry of Chicora, Ken “Bo” Brown of Edinburg, and Randy Rottman of Chicora.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Iman and Arthur Iman; and a sister, Martha “Doll” Umstead.

IMAN — Friends of John R. “Uncle John” Iman, who died Sunday, July 8, 2018, will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main streets, Chicora.Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and will be officiated by the Rev.
