Thomas Ervin
Thomas “Tom” C. Ervin, 63, of Butlerpassed away on Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 16, 1955, in Moline, Ill., and was the son of the late Roy Clifton Ervin and the late Leah Leota McKern Ervin.
Thomas worked as a railroad engine mechanic for National Railways.
Tom was a member of LeChâteau 40 & 8 in Annawan, Ill. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping and traveling. Tom especially loved spending time with his family.
Tom is survived by his wife, Debbie, whom he married on Sept. 30, 2003; his children, Jeremy (Shannon) Ervin of Silvis, Ill., Ayla (Brian Hillyer) Ervin of East Moline, Ill., Lee Criley of Butler, Sommer (Sean) Peters of Butler, and Kacey (Cole) Smietana of Butler; his grandchildren, Christina, Stephen, Isaiah, Adam, Evan, Abbey, Gavin, Connor, Braden, Bristol, Brenna and Harper; and his father-in-law, Andrew Musko.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, LeRoy Ervin; and one sister, Jodelle Ervin.
