Eleanor R. Rodgers

Eleanor R. Rodgers, 91, of Aurora, Colo., previously of Butler for 86 years, died Sunday at Harvard Square, Memory Care Unit in Aurora, Colo.

Born Oct. 26, 1926, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Angeline (DeFoggi) DiTullio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” in 2008, to whom she was married for 60 years.

She was a homemaker and occasionally sold Avon and Stanley Home Products.

She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler for 64 years. She was active for years in the Knights of Columbus, the Order of Alhambra and was part of the Alhambra Clown Group. She had been a volunteer for the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center for years.

She lived part of each year in Aurora, Colo., from 1985 until 2004, and moved there permanently in 2013.

She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed bingo and playing cards. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all.

Surviving are three sons, Richard (Mary Ellen) of Butler and Denver, Colo., David (Martha) of Aurora Colo., and Carmen (Susan) of Denver, Colo.; a daughter, Mary (Dick) Moore of Aurora, Colo.; 10 grandchildren, Richie and Kelly of Rich and Mary Ellen, Katherine (Ricky) of David and Martha, Daniel, Dorothy (David), David (April), Joshua (Lauren) and Gabrielle (Gui) of Carmen, and Brandi and Jamie of Mary and Dick; nine great- grandchildren, Lily, Willow, Christopher, Joseph, Wilder, Ethan, Alexander of Carmen, Dominick and Riley of Mary and Dick; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, five sisters and one grandchild.

RODGERS — Friends of Eleanor R. Rodgers, who died Sunday, July 1, 2018, will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.St. Paul's Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church to recite the rosary.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N.
