Glenna Mae Snyder, 90 of Slippery Rock passed away Tuesday at Orchard Manor in Grove City following an extended illness.

Glenna was born on April 8, 1928, in Slippery Rock, in the house she resided her entire life, to Meade Grove Brown and Nanny Jane “Katherine” McFadden Brown.

She married David Lloyd Snyder on Jan. 28, 1956, and he preceded her in death on July 12, 2007.

Before her retirement, she had been employed as a clerk at Ord's Pharmacy in Slippery Rock.

She was a member of Center Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock, where she had previously been active in the Women's Association of the church.

She enjoyed playing bingo and playing cards. She loved watching the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Survivors include her son, Dennis Eugene Snyder and his wife, Debby J., of Grove City; her granddaughters, Stephanie Mae Slater and her husband, Eric, of Prospect, Rebecca Lynn DeGraaf and her husband, Derek, of Mercer; her great-granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Slater; and her great-grandsons, Matthew James Slater and Ryker Lloyd DeGraaf.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Adam Lloyd Snyder, who died on June 30, 2009; her three brothers, Cecil, Raymond and Elton Brown; and two sisters, Ethel Jean Sadler and Bernice Elizabeth Clouse.

SNYDER — The family of Glenna Mae Snyder, who died Tuesday, July 3, 2018, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.Interment will be in Zion at Isle Cemetery, Franklin Township, Butler County.Memorial contributions may be given to Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Co. and Rescue Team, Slippery Rock.
