Michael V. Fetterman
Michael V. Fetterman, 52, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., passed away June 8 in the comfort of his home.
Born Jan. 14, 1966, in Butler, he was the son of the late Clarence E. Fetterman and Mary Jane Sinz Fetterman.
Employed by McDonald's Corp. since he was 16 years old, Michael was a faithful team member and mentor for 36 years and he counted them as a second family. As a manager, he modeled teamsmanship, servant-leadership and garnered many corporate awards.
His favorite place to be was the beach, particularly Fort Lauderdale. A dog lover, he especially enjoyed the company of “Mal.” He was a people-person and generous to those in need. He had a heart that was bigger than himself and will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Michael leaves behind to cherish his memory his siblings, Marie Elaine Simpson and her husband, Delmar, of Butler, Marcia J. Marburger and her husband, Richard, of Evans City, Rita Beitch and her husband, John, of Evans City, Monica A. Byrnes and her husband, Stephen, of Riverview, Fla., Gerald J. Fetterman and his wife, Chris, of Jackson Center, Pa., Janet Horstman and her husband, Bruce, of Butler and Thomas A. Fetterman and his wife, Sarah, of Pine Bush, N.Y.
He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brothers, Edgar John Fetterman and Charles Robert Fetterman.
