Josephine B. “Bunny” Kurpakus, 76, of Saxonburg passed away on Saturday at Allegheny Valley Hospital.

Born March 21, 1942, in New Kensington, she was the daughter of Michael and Anne Korenowski.

Bunny was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot.

She enjoyed plants, gardening and spending time with her family.

Surviving are three sons, Damon (Missy) Kurpakus of Sarver, Michael Kurpakus of Saxonburg, and Larry (Charlene) Kurpakus Jr. of Valencia; her daughter, Sara (Ken) Pawlik of Brackenridge; three sisters, Martha (Rob) Rau of South Carolina, Elle Korenowski of South Carolina, and Patty (Frank) Kaminiski of New Kensington; and six grandchildren, Kasey, Keegan, Corinne, Chloe, Anna and Evan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence Kurpakus, who died on April 30, 2002; and two sisters, Maggie Kurpakus and Margie Korenowski.
