William A. Wright

William A. Wright, 60, of Slippery Rock passed away on Monday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler after his battle with cancer.

William was born on April 27, 1958, in Grove City, and was the son of the late Kenneth A. Wright and Ida Mae Boylan. She survives.

William was a graduate of Lakeview High School and worked for many years as a carpenter. Most recently, he had worked for Montgomery Block Works in Harrisville.

He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly and loved to help anyone anytime he could.

William was a member of the Lakeview United Methodist Church.

In addition to his mother, William is survived by his children, Krystal Wright of Grove City, David Wright and his companion, Suzy Kopp, of Belle Vernon, Pa., and Joshua Wright of Slippery Rock; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Kylee and Evan; his siblings, Thomas Wright and his wife, Tamie, of Sandy Lake, Kathryn Hoffman and her husband, Randy, of Mercer, Steven Wright and his wife, Debbie, of Stoneboro, and Cynthia Brown and her husband, James, of Stoneboro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

WRIGHT — Family and friends of William A. Wright, who died Monday, June 18, 2018, are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro, Pa.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lakeview United Methodist Church, 1472 School Road, Sandy Lake, Pa.Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in William's name to the family to help defray funeral expenses.Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.blackfuneralhomes.net.
