Mildred Genevieve Bell

Mildred Genevieve Bell, 81, of Canton, Ohio, entered Heaven's gates peacefully on Thursday.

She was born Oct. 8, 1936, in Butler.

Mildred retired from Mansard Medical in 1996, after 27½ years of service.

She was an active member of Southwest Church of Christ in Canton, and an active member of the Canton Moose Chapter 332. She was also a member of Foresters, where she served in many roles.

Mildred loved to do crafts, sewing, quilting and playing her organ. Most of all, she loved her cats.

Mildred is survived by her son, Robert K. Bell Jr.; her grandchildren, Samuel Bell and Laci Bell of Globe, Ariz.; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Kenneth E. Ralston Sr. of Slippery Rock; her sister-in-law, Lenora Joan Davidson of Missouri; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; two infant daughters; several sisters; and one brother.

BELL — A celebration of life service for Mildred Genevieve Bell, who died Thursday, June 14, 2018, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Center Presbyterian Church, 211 Center St., Slippery Rock, with Pastor Bill Mumaw officiating.Inurnment will be in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.Reed Funeral Home, Canton Chapel, has been entrusted with the arrangements.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sprenger Hospice at Rose Lane Nursing Home, 5425 High Mill Ave. NW, Massillon, Ohio, 44646, or to any cat rescues or cat shelters of the donor's choice in Butler.Please visit www.reedfuneralhome.com.
