Melford Nathan Osche

Melford Nathan Osche, 76, of Tampa, Fla., formerly of Butler passed away May 18 in the comfort of his home.

Born April 17, 1942, in Butler, he was the son of the late Louis Osche and Arvilla Kriley.

Melford proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy, retiring after 23 years. He cut hair on the Navy base after retirement.

He belonged to Saxonburg American Legion Post 683 and was a former member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church.

He loved to cook and enjoyed collecting guns.

Melford will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his brothers, Lanny J. Osche of Saxonburg, Louis E. (Karen) Osche of Butler, Orvil A. (Shirley) Osche of Saxonburg, and Garrett C. (Charmaine) Osche Sr. of Driftwood; and his sisters, Marcia (Roger) Wissinger of Butler, and Arvilla (Dale) Gordon of Tampa, Fla.

In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Betty Osche.

OSCHE — A memorial Mass for Melford Nathan Osche, who died Friday, May 18, 2018, will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Parish, 315 Stoney Hollow Road, Cabot.Melford will be laid to rest privately at St. Mary Cemetery in Herman with full military honors.Arrangements have been entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
