CONNOQUENESSING TWP — Two people were reportedly hurt in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on Route 68.

State police said the accident happened about 12:40 p.m., when the driver of a sport utility vehicle pulled out from the Butler Farm Market in front of a minivan traveling west.

The driver of the SUV and a woman, one of four passengers in the van, were both taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital with apparent minor injuries, authorities said.

Police did not immediately release the names of the drivers or the injured passenger and an accident report was not available by the end of the day.

The driver of the van and the other passengers, at least two of them young children, were not hurt. Also uninjured was a passenger in the SUV.

All the occupants in both vehicles were either wearing seat belts or in child safety seats, police said.

The investigating trooper said he did not know if any charges would be filed.

The crash reduced traffic to one lane around the scene for about an hour.

Connoquenessing and Butler Township Fire District 3 volunteer firefighters assisted police.
