Three vehicles were involved in a crash Thursday on Main Street in Slippery Rock. An SUV ended up on its side.

A crash on Slippery Rock's Main Street Thursday sent three people, including a child, to the hospital.

All three injured were traveling south along Main Street when their SUV, a Pontiac Torrent, struck a parked Toyota 4-Runner, according to firefighters and police on the scene.

Slippery Rock Police Chief Terry Fedokovitz said the impact sent the 4-Runner into the back of another parked car, a Dodge Avenger. He said both parked vehicles were unoccupied at the time.

When the Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company arrived, the Torrent was laying on its driver's side, according to Fire Captain Kurt Reasner.

“We had three patients that we transported to the hospital,” Reasner said. “One was a child in a car seat.”

Fedokovitz said the 3-year-old child, a male passenger and a female driver were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of unknown and minor injuries.

“It all appears to be minor,” Fedokovitz said. “All were wearing seat belts and car seats.”

All three vehicles were towed from the scene, which caused a 45-minute closure of Main Street that wrapped up around 2:30 p.m.

West Sunbury Fire Department also assisted with the call.
