John R. Creese

John R. Creese, 70, of Fenelton passed away on Sunday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.

He was born Jan. 14, 1948, in Middlesex Township, and was the son of the late John W. Creese and the late Eva Dambach Creese.

John worked as a laborer for Ervin Industries before retiring in 2007.

He enjoyed farming.

He is survived by his two sons, John R. Creese Jr. and his wife, Janisse, of Rimersburg, and Donald R. Creese of Kila, Mont.; a grandson, Dalton J. Creese of Springhill, Fla.; seven step-grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Joan Bickish of Butler, and Evelyn Kline of Butler.; and his former spouse, Alayne McCanch Cresse.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane R. Creese; a brother, Kenneth Creese; and two sisters, Betty Schuller and Mae Stepp.

CREESE — Family and friends of John R. Creese, who died Sunday, June 3, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at New Testament Baptist Church, 437 N. Duffy Road, Butler, with Pastor Rob Hranicky of Bethel Baptist Church of Sligo, officiating.Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
