Butler’s street cleaning program starts Tuesday, in the city’s Institute Hill neighborhood.

The following streets are scheduled to be cleaned between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.: 1st Street, 2nd Street, 3rd Street, 4th Street, 5th Street, Belmont Road, St. Mary’s Street and Cecelia Street.

Cleaning of the city’s business district and parking lots will be done from midnight to 7 a.m.

The affected residential streets will be posted with orange “No Parking” signs beginning on the afternoon before scheduled cleaning. The fine for parking on a posted street is $20, according to city officials.

In case of rain or other delays, streets scheduled to be cleaned will remain posted until the following day. For any cancellation longer than one day, the “No Parking” signs will be removed and cleaning will be rescheduled.
