William T. “Bill” Brown Jr.

William T. “Bill” Brown Jr., 67, of Petrolia passed away Wednesday at his residence with his family by his side.

Bill was born June 25, 1950, in Grove City. He was the son of the late William T. Brown Sr. and the late Norma Hoff Brown.

Bill proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during Vietnam.

He worked at Pullman Standard Railroad Manufacturing as a fitter until its closing.

Bill was a life member of the Cherry Valley VFW.

Bill is survived by his wife, Donna Greenawalt Brown, whom he married on Nov. 27, 1972; three daughters, Lisa (James) Roudebush of Petrolia, Barbara Brown of Petrolia and Jeana Hurrelbrink of Karns City; one son, William T. (Michelle) Engle of Petrolia; and 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. John (Deborah) Ealy and Mrs. Ronald (Lori) Ritzert, both of Karns City, and Sherri Brown of Petrolia; one aunt, Sylvia Webb of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

BROWN — The family of William T. “Bill” Brown Jr., who died Wednesday, May 30, 2018, will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Britton of the United Church of the Nazarene officiating.Burial with military honors will be provided by the VFW Post 249 of Butler, American Legion Post 778 of Lyndora and the American Legion Post 117 of Butler, and take place in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.The family has requested memorial donations be made to the Veteran's Home.Online condolences may be submitted at www.williamfyoungfh.com.
