Richard P. “Dick” Perri, 56, of Butler died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon.

Born Oct. 23, 1961, in Butler, he was a son of the late Philip Perri and Harriet (Stein) Perri.

Dick was a 1979 graduate of Butler High School. He also was a graduate of the New Castle School of Trades and received a degree in electrical engineering from Youngstown State University in 1991.

He currently worked for WEG Motor Controls and Robotics and previously worked for Benshaw and AEG.

He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler and was a member of the NRA.

He loved music, as he played the guitar daily, had perfected the art of home brewing, was an expert in computers and had loved his toys that included his drone and his R/T Scat Pack.

He loved to travel and experience new places, outdoor hiking, riding bikes, exercising and his afternoon walks. Dick was meticulous and perfected everything he had attempted.

Surviving are his wife, Cindy Jo (Litz) Perri, whom he married Sept. 8, 1990; one brother, David J. Perri of Butler; two sisters, Deborah S. (Lloyd Lake) Perri and Diane (Ralph) Lukas, both of Butler; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joseph and Dolores Litz; his brother-in-law, David Litz; his sister-in-law, Susan (Michael) Aldas; his nieces and nephew, Rachel (Matthew), Amber (Cory), David P. (Chalea) and Amanda (Justin); and his great-niece and great-nephews: Kellen, Alyssa and Kyson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Mitchel.

PERRI — A Mass of Christian burial for Richard P. “Dick” Perri, who died Sunday, May 27, 2018, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. The Rev. Harry Bielewicz will officiate.Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Butler.Arrangements were handled by Geibel Funeral Home of Butler.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dick's memory to Butler Catholic School, 515 E.
