At least two people were injured in a near head-on collision about 10:20 a.m. today on Mitchell Hill Road in Summit Township, state police said.

The driver and passenger of one of two pickup trucks were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.

The driver in the other, larger pickup also was checked out by medical crews for possible injuries.

Police suspect careless driving was to blame for the wreck, which remains under investigation.

Lick Hill volunteer firefighters assisted at the scene.
