Drug raid results in two arrests
State narcotics officers nabbed two men — one a drug felon — and seized bags of suspected raw heroin and crack cocaine as well as other evidence of alleged drug trafficking during a Wednesday night raid at a Butler home.
Jailed on $200,000 bail each are Michael L. Jackson, 26, who lives at the home on the 200 block of South Sixth Avenue; and Noah S. Burnside, 21, of Forward Township.
The Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General's Bureau of Narcotics led the operation, which followed a controlled drug buy Wednesday at the home.
A police informant earlier had provided authorities with information that heroin and crack were being sold at the house, investigators said.
The informant recounted being in the home and seeing packaged narcotics including heroin and crack.
Officers obtained a search warrant that was served about on Wednesday.
A search of the house, documents said, knotted plastic bags of crack and what appeared to be raw heroin, stamp bags of suspected heroin, and thousands of empty stamp bags and other drug-packaging materials.
Both are also charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
