One of two Zelienople men charged with drug distribution in November pleaded guilty Friday to paraphernalia charges and was immediately sentenced to probation.

Domenick W. Decampli, 68, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor conspiracy to possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug paraphernalia before President Judge Thomas Doerr, and was immediately sentenced to 12 months of county probation.

He was also ordered to pay court costs and $1,000 in fines.

Decampli was charged alongside Nicholas W. Decampli, 35, following a search of their home in the 400 block of West New Castle Street, Zelienople on Nov. 14, which police said turned up more than $23,000 in cash, 12 pounds of marijuana, dozens of heroin stamp bags and drug paraphernalia.

Nicholas Decampli previously pleaded guilty to felony conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance — marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance — heroin and was sentenced to 7½ to 23 months' incarceration in Butler County Prison, followed by 2 years of probation, and ordered to pay court costs.

He also agreed to forfeit $23,631 and all items seized in the search.

Domenick Decampli was initially charged with felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of a communications facility, conspiracy to both previous counts, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy counts to those charges after an investigation by the state Office of the Attorney General Bureau of Narcotics Investigations and the Butler County Drug Task Force, into allegations that the two were distributing drugs from the home.

During a search of the home, police said in Domenick Decampli's bedroom they found eight individually-wrapped plastic bags of marijuana and an electronic scale.

In Nicholas Decampli's bedroom, police said the cash was found hidden under Nicholas Decampli's bed and on a shelf, with a glass jar of marijuana and a notebook with a drug distribution business plan and outstanding debts, as well as a shoebox containing about 50 stamp bags of heroin, empty heroin bags and paraphernalia.

Police also said five cell phones and about 12 pounds of marijuana were found in a storage tote and cooler in the garage.
