Virginia Crocker

Virginia Edythe Crocker, 73, of Slippery Rock passed away on Friday at Trinity Living Center in Grove City.

She was born on Nov. 6, 1944, in New Castle, to Robert John McKnight and Dorothy Elizabeth Whiting McKnight.

Virginia worked at Slippery Rock State College in the food service department for 20 years, retiring in 1984.

She is survived by two sons, Raymond Leslie Crocker of Cranberry Township, and Daniel David Crocker of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Mary Jane Dally of Niles, Ohio, and Rebecca Richards of Ellwood City; her brother, Donald John McKnight of Gettysburg; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Barbara Jo Davis; her stepfather, Glenn W. Leise; a sister, Ruth Elaine Mayne; a brother, Russell; and an infant brother, George.

CROCKER — The family of Virginia Edythe Crocker, who died Friday, May 25, 2018, will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.Interment will be in Slippery Rock Cemetery.
