BUTLER TWP — Rain has delayed surface work that was scheduled for Wednesday morning on Eberhart Road at Route 68.

The state Department of Transportation said the work now will be done on Saturday between 8 a.m. and noon.

Workers will install a surface treatment to the road during the closure.

PennDOT expects congestions and delays in the project area, and advises motorists to use other routes.

Those who must drive near the work area are asked to pay attention to traffic control devices and signs and watch for flaggers.
