Mary Grace “Dolly” DeFranco Ciafre
Mary Grace “Dolly” DeFranco Ciafre, 89, of Middlesex Township passed away Wednesday morning at her home surrounded by family.
Born Sept. 27, 1928, in Pittsburgh and raised in Lawrenceville, she was the daughter of Dominic and Lucy (Chirico) DeFranco.
Dolly was a homemaker.
She was a member of Holy Sepulcher Catholic Church, where she was active with the WOW's and was a longtime volunteer with Meals on Wheels.
She enjoyed cooking and crocheting and was known for her love of family, church and community.
She was the beloved mother of nine children, Roseann (Robert) Rinaman of Mars, Gabriel (Claudia) Ciafre of Clinton Township, John (Diane) Ciafre of Penn Township, Dennis (Bonnie) Ciafre of Middlesex Township, Anthony (Kris) Ciafre of Middlesex Township, Bernadette (Todd) Cress of Clinton Township, Donna (Matthew) Wilson of Middlesex Township, Charles (Denise) Ciafre of Middlesex Township, and Dean (Lisa) Ciafre of Middlesex Township; the sister of Connie Yelich, Betty Ann Hollihan and Dominic DeFranco. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gabriel Ciafre, whom she married Jan. 18, 1947, and who died on May 19, 1994; one sister; and five brothers.
CIAFRE — Friends of Mary Grace “Dolly” DeFranco Ciafre, who died Wednesday, May 23, 2018, will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Schellhaas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Sepulcher Catholic Church, with the Rev. Robert J.
