Shirley A. Schwarz
Shirley A. Schwarz, 83, of Mars passed away on Tuesday morning in the comfort of her home.
Born May 16, 1935, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Alden J. and Mabel Wachter Andrews.
A homemaker, Shirley had been a member of Mars United Presbyterian Church. As an active church member and worker, she had taught Sunday school for 35 years.
She spent 13 years counseling and directing children's camps at Westminster Highlands and was a Girl Scout leader and Boy Scout den mother.
She enjoyed camping and quilting.
Surviving are three sons, David W. Schwarz of Parrish, Fla., Daniel L. Schwarz of Pittsburgh, and Thomas S. Schwarz of Mars. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Tiffany and Amanda.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Schwarz, whom she married on July 20, 1957, and who died on Sept. 5, 1994.

Schwarz, who died Tuesday, May 22, 2018.Friends are invited to a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars. The Rev.
