Douglas E. Glenn

Douglas E. Glenn, 62, of Harrisville, formerly of Grove City, passed peacefully at home Friday morning following an extended illness.

Doug was born Feb. 10, 1956, in Grove City to Dean L. and Betty (Foster) Glenn. He married Carol A. Taylor on June 6, 1981. She survives at home.

He was a graduate of Grove City High School in 1974 and he attended Penn State University.

Doug was a member of the East Main Presbyterian Church.

He retired from Jerry Taylor Ford, where he was the parts manager for over 25 years.

Doug was an avid sports fan and followed the Pirates, Steelers and NASCAR. Throughout his life, he was a collector of model trains and slot cars.

In addition to his wife, Carol, he also is survived by his stepchildren, Chad Crossley of Harrisville and Paula Miller of Grove City; a grandson, Josh Bell of Nashville, Tenn.; a granddaughter, Alyssa Miller of Franklin; his parents, Dean and Betty Glenn of Grove City; a sister, Gaye Hansen, and her husband, Todd, of Gahanna, Ohio; and a brother, Wayne Glenn, and his wife, Sue, of Lawrence, Pa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

GLENN — The family of Douglas E. Glenn, who died Friday May 18, 2018, will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.Burial will take place at Prairie Cemetery in Harrisville.Memorials may be made in his memory to Merakey Allegheny Valley Schools, Slippery Rock Program Center, 125 Rebecca Lane, Slippery Rock, PA 16057.Please visit www.cunninghamfhgc.com.
