Samuel Nurman Zinkham Jr.
Samuel Nurman Zinkham Jr., 91, formerly of Freedom passed away Sunday while under the care of Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.
Born Oct. 30, 1926, in Zelienople, he was the son of the late Samuel N. Zinkham and Buelah May Piper Zinkham.
Sam was a graduate of Zelienople High School.
He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Sam was a Pennsylvania deputy game commissioner and a member of Rochester Sportsmen's Club.
He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Lynette Zinkham Barclay Citro of New Brighton, and David (Carol) Zinkham of Evans City; his grandchildren, Bobbi Jo Cecio of California, Shelli (Daniel) Conville of Evans City, David (Jennifer) Zinkham of Ellwood City, and Brian (Hollie) Zinkham of Mercer; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; his brother, Thomas (Theresa) Zinkham of Harmony; his sister, Catherine Deemer of Zelienople; and life-long friends, Irene, Lee, Donna and Jim.
In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Dawn Michele Barclay Wory.

ZINKHAM — Friends of Samuel Nurman Zinkham Jr., who died Sunday, May 13, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Dan Conville officiating.Sam will be laid to rest with full military honors at St. Peter's Reformed Church Cemetery in Zelienople.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
