Myrtle Margaret “Sally” McCandless Criley

Myrtle Margaret “Sally” McCandless Criley, 83, of Butler passed away on Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 10, 1935, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Ellsworth McCandless and the late Edna Trimblen McCandless.

Sally was a homemaker.

She was a member of Faith Fellowship Alliance Church.

Sally worked as a salesperson at Troutman's and Walmart.

She liked to do yarn work and she liked to read.

She is survived by one son, Donald William Criley Jr. and his wife, Mary Ann, of Chicora; five daughters, Marsha Brown and her husband, Robert, of Chicora, Darla Pringle of Jacksonville, Fla., Belinda Sue McKinney and her husband, Ralph, of Saxonburg, Rose Marie Criley of Butler, and Lou Ann Swartzlander and her husband, John, of Butler; 12 grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; one brother, James McCandless of Butler; and one sister, Ellama Shontage of Butler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Criley Sr., whom she married on Jan. 21, 1956, and who passed away on Jan. 4, 1999; one daughter, Pamela Ann Rowe; and one great grandchild, Daniel Wick.

CRILEY — Friends of Myrtle Margaret “Sally” McCandless Criley, who died Saturday, May 12, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faith Way, Fared Drive, Butler, with the Rev.
