Edward P. Diamond
Edward P. Diamond, 71, of Zanesville, Ohio, died peacefully at 1 p.m. on Monday at Morrison House in Zanesville.
He was born on Aug. 22, 1946, and was the son of the late Mary A. Raabe Diamond and Clarence P. “Bud” Diamond of Butler.
Ed graduated from Butler High School in 1964 and Grove City College with a B.S. in mechanical engineering in 1968.
He began his career with Armco Steel, now AK Steel, in 1969 in Butler. In 1970, he was transferred to Zanesville. He worked in the engineering department and later became the general foreman of maintenance. He retired after 35 years with the company.
Ed enjoyed golf, woodworking, running, auctions, antiquing and most of all, he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy (Yost) Diamond; two daughters, Shanon (Dan) Yawkey of Zanesville, and Amy (Jody) Kerns of Jacksonville, N.C.; a son, Brian (Mary) Diamond of Zanesville; two granddaughters, Nicole Yawkey and Avery Diamond; one grandson, Meyer Diamond; and his sister, Joyce Diamond of Norwalk, Conn. He also is survived by numerous cousins, great friends and neighbors.

DIAMOND — Calling hours for Edward P. Diamond, who died Monday, May 7, 2018, were held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 West Military Road, Zanesville, Ohio.Additional visitation will be held one hour before the service on Thursday in the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Snouffer Chapel with the Rev.
