George Anthony Huba

George Anthony Huba, 63, of Butler passed away Wednesday at his residence.

He was born Jan. 4, 1955, in Butler, and was the son of the late Geza Huba and the late Ann Boss Huba.

George worked in the masonry department for AK Steel, retiring in 2014.

He graduated from Butler High School in 1973.

George was a member of the Butler Cubs Athletic Association.

George is survived by his son, Dr. Zachary Huba of Oakland Park, Fla.; one sister, Kathleen A. (Arthur) Keefer of Rimersburg; one brother, Lawrence (Barbara) Huba of West Lafayette, Ind.; a number of nieces and nephews; and his good friends, Jodi and Dan Gibson of Palm Coast, Fla.

HUBA — An open house memorial gathering for George Anthony Huba, who died Wednesday, May 2, 2018, will be held from 3 until 6 p.m. Saturday at American Legion Post 778 of Lyndora in the Victory Room. All of George's family and friends are welcome to join his son, Zachary, in the celebration of George's life.Arrangements were made by Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
