Neal Wilbert

Neal E. Wilbert, 58, of Fenelton passed away Saturday at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot following a courageous fight with cancer.

Neal was born Aug. 21, 1959, in Butler, he was the son of the late Carl and Veronica Snyder Wilbert.

He was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Fenelton.

Neal graduated from Butler High School in 1978.

Neal was an avid carpenter and enjoyed working at Shuler Woodworking with his dear friend, Randy Shuler.

In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, horseshoeing and playing with his grandchildren.

He was a devoted and loving husband for 33 years to Sandra Miller Wilbert and a wonderful father to five children, Michael (Holly) Wilbert, Daniel (Katie) Wilbert, Ashley (Richard) Wilbert, Lisa Wilbert and Tabetha Wilbert.

He was a passionate grandfather to three grandchildren, Lindsey, Xander and Emma.

Also surviving Neal are five siblings, Clara (Bud) Criley, Brian (Beth) Wilbert, Karen (Donnie) Trimbur, Kevin (Judy) Wilbert and Roger (Laura) Wilbert; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Wilbert, who died Saturday, April 28, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at theGeibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 668 Clearfield Road, Fenelton, with the Rev.
