Bonnie Hawk Kelly, 34, of Hilliards, passed away at 1:08 p.m. Saturday at her residence following a four- year, hard fought battle with cancer with her loving family at her side.

Born July 1, 1983, in Butler, she was the daughter of Robert C. Jr. and Carol Gordon Hawk of Parker, who survives.

Bonnie graduated from ACV School District at Foxburg in 2001 and earned an associate degree in business from Colorado Technical University.

She was employed by USIS at Boyers for a number of years, and then was employed by the optometric office of Dr. Robert Wheatall in Butler until ill health prevented her work in that field.

With a passion for animal rescue, she was a member of ASPCA and the Humane Society.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving and dedicated husband, Lucas J. “Luke” Kelly.

Other survivors include her brother, Thomas Hawk of Ohio; her sister-in-law, Bethany “Beth” Hawk of Parker; her maternal grandmother, Gladys Gordon of Bruin; her maternal grandfather, William J. Barger of Butler; her mother-in-law, Carol Kelly of Hilliards; and her father-in-law, Patrick (Chrisse) Kelly of Kinsale, Va.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Cody Andrew Hawk, who died April 7, 2018.

KELLY — Visitation for Bonnie Hawk Kelly, who died Saturday, April 28, 2018, will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Wayne Ave., Parker, where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery in Hooker.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Bonnie's name to the humane or animal rescue chapter of donors choice.To view or send condolences, sympathy cards visit www.buzardfuneralhomes.com
